The first release by Daffodil comes in the form of an EP,
titled "A Hope For Things That Never Come". As I press the play button,
the melodic notes of "Down The Corridor" immediately 'filled' the room.
Beautiful keys, melodic guitars, rhythmic bass and crystal-clear vocals
are the pieces of this musical puzzle. Okay, I've listened to it
twice already (laughs!!), let's go see what's in store for us next...
The second track coming up is "End Of Days", starting off with a beautiful intro
with keys in calm and melodic rhythms. Once the guitars, bass and drums kick in, it's
only a matter of seconds before the headbanging begins!
Okay, we're talking about an EP with 4 tracks, and the first 2 already are diamonds!
These guys have done an excellent work, they've managed to create an amazing sound.
We have a charismatic frontman with a wonderful crystal-clear voice, and guitars that
truly are dynamite!
The third track coming up is "Heart Of The Deceiver", which is a high-quality rock composition,
with an amazing performance by the band. The fourth and final track is "In Fear", which ends
the EP melodically and rhythmically. In summary? This is an amazing EP, if you enjoy quality rock
music, then you simply can't miss out on it for any reason.
Don't forget that we're talking about an EP, which makes it even more difficult to talk about
quality, as we're only talking about a few tracks. However, despite that, the band has managed
to do an excellent job in both composing and performing the tracks.
I am sure that these guys will keep us busy and satisfied in the future. As for a score, I can't
rate this anything short of perfect, so I will give it a 10/10.
