"Long Gone" starts the album and the wonderful sound of an acoustic guitar accompanied by the wonderful
sound of the electric guitar "fill" the room. Affter a while, bass, drums and the amazing crystal-clear vocals of
Matt complete this incredible musical puzzle! Excellent track! Youthful, powerful, melodic...it has everything!
A great start for the album!
Right after that comes "Take This City Alive", with a more powerful rhythm, and in this track, the beautiful
sound of the guitar stands out, showing us that Fahran have found what they wanted!
The third track is "A Thousand Nights", which, after the first notes, will make you start headbanging!
The vocals of the track are difficult with a lot of "changes", but Matt performs it perfectly!
Awesome tune! Right after that is "I Heard a Joke Once", which is also a powerful rock track with very good
composition! "Chasing Hours" continues the album in calmer tones.
"Cased in Steel", "You Could Be Mine" and "Some Kind of Family" continue the album in the same quality,
youthful steps of Fahran. "Some Kind of FAmily", "Are We Free" and "Back to Me" are the next tracks, with "Back to Me"
stealing the show from the others, with beautiful acoustic guitar and crystal-clear vocals from Matt. After that it's "Prison",
which is the ballad of the album! Can be listened with closed eyes..."Black Mirror" and "Storms We Ride" close the album
in more melodic rhythms.
Conclusion? It is clear that these guys composed this album with love and it's even more clear that they are talented. They've
managed to make their own sound, which is "fresh", youthful and modern, it will confuse you regarding what centre it belongs to,
but it's assured that you'll like it. Definitely in the good albums of 2014. To all of you who like to support new bands, this album is
a perfect choice. I'm sure that this work will be followed by excellent videos, as well as amazing performances in their live gigs!
Well done Fahran!
