Sergeant Steel is a Brilliant new Melodic Hard Rock Band from Austria.
Let's start listening to their album, "Men On A Mission"!
"Gods of Love" started playing and the first thing that came to mind was "Oh yes,mama!", pure Melodic Hard Rock
"spread" in the room! Powerful guitars, rhythmic bass and drums, and amazing vocals is what you should be expecting!
Amazing beginning for the album! Also, the solo of the song is a killer one! "Mama Horny", that follows after,
is a 'dirty' rock track with a catchy chorus, splendind performance for the bass and beautiful backing vocals!
When its time comes, the solo will make you turn and look at your speakers! "Sweet 16", the next track in line,
follows the same quality footsteps as the previous tracks! Immidiately after "Don't Give It Up" begins and it's one
of the most melodic tracks of the album! It will remind you of Def Leppard and "Hysteria", due to its quality! Simply
excellent! The moment "Man On A Mission" starts playing, you'll understand immidiately why the album was named after it!
Kickass tune! "Cry Out Your Heart, Baby" is the "diva" of the album and the first single, that alone says a lot!
"Born To Lose (Live To Win)" is the wild track of the album and will make you want to ride a motorcycle to listen it as
you drive! Immidiately after comes "Wannabe Outlaw", which will you remind you of Motley Crue at their best!
(I ain't getting off this bike! -laughs-)
The beatiful Hard Rock track "Some Girls Are Ladies" follows after! And after that, "Taker Of My Heart" will make you
want to go full-throttle! The ballad of the album, "Give Me A Call" comes in last, and here is where you stop your bike
and get off to enjoy it as it should; with your eyes closed!
So far in 2013 we've had the luck to listen to some incredible albums of the Melodic Hard Rock scene!
But "Men On A Mission", coming from Austria and a new band, Sergeant Steel, definitely is on the top 5!
I'm sure these guys will keep us busy with enough enjoyable material in the future. If I give this less than 10/10,
I would be unfair towards the band and the album, so I rate this 10/10! Job well done, guys!
