GEORGE: Welcome to BeRock Radio guys, the most melodic place! I am George, please make
yourself comfortable! We’re glad to have you here. Will you tell us a few words about how REACH
was founded, and how you came up with the band name?

REACH: Hey man! Thanks a lot! The band was founded when I (Marcus) had done some some session
drumming with Ludvigs former band. I became good friends with him right away and really enjoyed his
badass guitar playing. I have had this idea of starting a new a band based around great riffs, melodies
and hooks. So we decided to start Reach almost right away. We later found the fantastic singer
Alex Waghorn and the badass bass player David Jones and there we had the Reach band.
We wanted a band name which can mean a lot of different things to different people so the name Reach
was perfect. I’m sure it means different things to all the guys in the band.

GEORGE: Which are the music influences of the band?

REACH: We all have different influences in the band. But what I think we all in the band enjoy and can be
shown are Hard rock bands with great riffs, hooks and melodies like for example: Whitesnake, Ozzy Osbourne,
Gary Moore and modern bands like: Eclipse, H.e.a.T and so on.

GEORGE: From what I know, you are now working on your debut album! The first samples you’ve given us,
“Black Lady” and “You Called My Name”, are simply amazing! Have you decided how many tracks the album
will have? Can you tell us its title and how many recordings you’ve done so far?

REACH: Thanks a lot! We´re not really sure yet but I think the album will have 10 or 11 songs.
We have recorded about 2/3 of the record. And we hope it will hit the stores sometime early 2015.

GEORGE: The single “You Called My Name” has quickly reached number 3 in the rock toplist of Swedish iTunes,
right above the latest singles from Nickelback, Scorpions and AC/DC.
Did you expect such success from the track?

REACH: No, don't think we did. We have not released anything since the black lady single so it was
really fun to see that people hadn't forgot us and still buys our new songs. It felt really good actually.

GEORGE: Are you satisfied with the sales of the singles?

REACH: What can we say, of course we’re satisfied when we see that people spend a
few bucks on our 2nd single. It really means a lot to see the support we got out there.

GEORGE: Have you concluded as to with which label you’ll be signing a contract with?
Do you know when the album will be released, or if it’s too early for a release date yet?

REACH: We’re currently in a dialogue with a label and we’ve been contacted by a couple of more so,
soon we’re hopefully signed and ready for the world. A bit too soon to say which label it is but you’ll know
when we know. Our plans for the release of our debut album are early 2015. We’re heading out on a tour
in march with our brothers in arms Eclipse and we’re doing a couple of dates here in Sweden with Gus-G.
So the plan is to have an album out there before we hit the road

GEORGE: From what I’ve seen, you have done various lives in Sweden, even supported other good names
such as ECLIPSE and GUS-G. Can you tell us the reactions of the rockets in your lives, and if you’re satisfied
with them?

REACH: As I said before, we’re hitting the road in early march beginning with 3 shows in Sweden with Gus-G
and one of them with Eclipse as well. And after that we’re planning on going across to the UK for a couple of
shows. So apart from our dear friends in Ecplipse we haven’t actually played with Gus-G, yet.
The boys in the band, especially Marcus and Ludvig, has played a lot of different shows in different countries
and met a lot of interesting people. And they’ve all met us with respect and excitement that there still are
hungry young rockers out there keeping the legacy alive. And we’re looking forward to meet more of our
heroes in 2015, it will be an interesting year for all Reachers.

GEORGE: The first single was "Black Lady" and you also have a beautiful video for it.
Do you have any plans for a new videoclip?

REACH: Yes, but that’s a secret!

GEORGE: Sweden is famous about its music industry, especially the genre you support (Melodic Hard Rock).
Do you feel blessed or doomed to meet the high standards?

REACH: Blessed for sure.
With high standard band around you're forced to always practice so you fit in.

GEORGE: Recently, I spoke with Eric (Rivers) from H.e.a.T. and asked him what you do there in Sweden
and keep giving us these excellent bands with amazing musicians. “Is there something in the water?”,
I asked him, and he replied with “Hmm, it’s probably the beer!” (laughs!!) I’m asking if you can tell us your
opinion on the amazing music scene of Sweden. Can you tell us what’s going on there that causes a new
star to be born?

REACH: Haha, the beer probably helps or maybe it’s what helps guitarists in this case.
Seriously music as a hobby or studies is very welcome and supported in Sweden.
There are many music schools and its always easy to find rehearsal rooms where you can
practice and write songs.

GEORGE: Name a few bands from Sweden that you admire and the reason why.

REACH:
Marcus answer: I’ve really enjoyed Eclipse since the Are You Ready To Rock album.
They write good hard rock tunes with good riffs and hooks and with fantastic musicians they always
sound killer live.

Ludvigs answer: Treat, mostly for Jamie Borger because he is a monster drummer…

GEORGE: For the past 3-4 years, we’ve been seeing a bloom in Melodic Rock\Melodic Hard Rock.
Do you believe that rockers want more quality in the music and listen to more of this centre?
What is your opinion on this?

REACH: Yeah, of course it’s nice with all this quality music coming out. But the tough thing is to get
this ”quality” out in the live shows. Its always easy to sound good on record but harder to get that
feeling when you're doing live shows. One band from Sweden that really managed to do this and almost
sound better is H.E.A.T with great live songs and good energy and always a kick ass show wherever they play.
To write good songs (that work live) together with finding your own niche and always do kick ass live shows
is what will bring more people to your shows and rock shows in general.

GEORGE: The music industry in the recent years has changed.
We see that a lot of people prefers digital purchases, which is more convenient, faster and accessible.
What are your thoughts on the future of CDs?

REACH: We think that CD is not really dead yet because people have always liked to ”collect things”
and its more funny to have a signed copy of your favorite album or band on your living room wall than
nothing at all. We have also seen that vinyl have come back again. And that’s the same thing its more
fun to have a great looking vinyl on your wall than some digital files in your iPhone.

GEORGE: Thank you for your time, I wish you all the best for the future!
The last words are yours for this interview.
Feel free to say whatever you want to all BeRock Radio readers!

REACH: We have been working really hard with recording our debut album but now we are finally seeing
the end of it. We are very satisfied and totally AMPED to get out of the studio and on the road with these
songs and this band!
In march we will play in Sweden with Gus G from Ozzy Osbourne and we will be going on tour in England,
supporting our friends of Eclipse. We can’t wait to meet up with the Rock fans of England!

Last but not least!
To all of our listeners, we wanna thank you for your support and we cant wait to see you all out there!
To all of our new listeners, welcome to the family, Reachers! :)
