Red Rose formed in 2010 in Israel. Their music style turned out to be some sort of mixture of Melodic Hard Rock, Classic Heavy Metal and Pomp Rock, playfully called among the band members "good music". When it came to choosing a name for the project, "Red Rose" wasn't argued much. It seemed to precisely represent the band's general vision: the beauty and romance of a dream along with the thorns of reality. When sketches were ready and it was time to rehearse and wrap up the material, everything came into place very quickly and 'Live The Life You've Imagined' became reality. Red Rose recorded the album at Jailhouse Studios, Denmark, with renowned producer Tommy Hansen.
The band was very excited about Tommy's work with Helloween, Jorn and many other international acts and they all agreed that his signature sound was what their music demanded.
‘Live The Life You’ve Imagined’ was released in 2011 on Bakerteam Records and gained enthusiastic reviews all over the world, allowing the band to perform in front of dedicated audiences in their home country and beyond. But the best was yet to come… With their brand new album, ‘On The Cusp Of Change’, Red Rose were able to reach a new, higher level of maturity and musical complexity, delivering 8 tracks of astonishing beauty. The album was once again produced by Tommy Hansen at Jailhouse Studios, with extraordinary Matan Shmuely (of Orphaned Land fame) sitting behind the drums and the rest of the band laying down an astonishing performance, on every possible level. Jobert Mello (Primal Fear, Sabaton, Benedictum) took care of the artwork duties.

Red Rose have just signed a worldwide deal with Scarlet Records for the release of their new album.
Red Rose’s style is a mixture of melodic hard rock and classic heavy metal, with a light progressive touch, taking inspiration a lot from the 80’. Beautiful melodies, heavy guitars, high clean vocals, extensive use of the keys and backing vocals, meaningful lyrics – all these define Red Rose. And this mixture finds a more solid incarnation in their new work, which is certainly a big leap forward for the band. Their debut “Live the Life You’ve Imagined” was released in 2011 (a year after the band has formed)
under Bakerteam records, and received a lot of positive feedback both from critics and fans. The Italian ‘Giornale Metal’ has written about it: “…One disc for those who love good music, a good start for a band destined to become great.” And shortly after promoting the debut album, guys decided to go for another one.
The new work, entitled “On the Cusp of Change”, was recorded at ‘Jailhouse studios’ with the renounced Danish producer Tommy Hansen (who has recorded the band’s debut as well), and he assessed the band’s progress saying that it “improved tremendously in all respects, including songwriting and performance”. The album’s lyrical concepts and ideas were skillfully transferred into visual arts by the Brazilian master – Jobert Mello.
Having a fateful (so it seems) trouble finding a drummer, the guys from Red Rose turn to a session musician. And for this second record the job of a drummer is taken by Matan Shmuely – the drummer of a known Israeli band ‘Orphaned Land’. With two albums on the list, Red Rose is ready to expand the live performance activity and build its way up to the big stage!

Andreas "RockBelt": *Band Score 8.0/10* "I really dig these guys. Brilliant Melodic Rock Band from Israel!"
