Information:

At the end of the '90s, in a small Welsh village emerged what is now recognised as an 'institution'!
CELTIC PRIDE WAS BORN!! Emerging from popular Welsh Rock outfit, Amazon, who's supporting credentials included
Girlschool & Paul DiAnno, the Classic Rock Outfit brought to the music scene the highest standard of playing
& Rock ethos which commanded a loyal fanbase who, to this day, still attend & love there legendary Classic Rock
shows. Throughout the years, Celtic Pride managed to build up an enviable reputation as 'the hardest working &
rocking band on the Welsh circuit'! The news travelled over the borders & took Celtic Pride all over the U.K.,
playing Festivals & major support slots with the likes of Status Quo, The Moody/Marsden band & many more.
As time went on, the band had a few line up tweaks which led to the version of Celtic Pride that spurred an
original material Classic Rock album called 'Warzone'. One of the tracks off the album, ‘Streetwise’, was
championed by Toni Iommi, ( Black Sabbath), on his Planet Rock radio show, (He bloody loved it!), & many of
the songs off this album are still regular features on a few internet based stations!
More intense gigging & a few more tweaks of their members, including a brief appearance from Carl Sentance,
(Persian Risk, Geezer Butler Band, Don Airey Band), saw the latest version of Celtic Pride emerge in the
latter years! With Don & Rob, the original dual axe attack brothers & Bob Richards on drums,
( Man , Iron Maiden’s Adrian Smith's Untouchables, Shy, Asia, Dave Edmonds & many more!), Dom Hill on bass,
(Sasquatch, Ockhams Raser & a few more but less than Bob!) & Justin Matthews on Vocals (No Quarter, Nun the
Weiser), the now legendary version of Celtic Pride continued to wow audiences with world class solo’s,
wailing vocals & one of the tightest rhythm sections that Zappa would be proud of!
After more support slots with the likes of Budgie, Racing Cars & Andy Fairweather Low plus an extra dose of
intense gigging & festivals, Including Rock at the Park, Glastonderi, Bowfest & more, the boys, encouraged
by the fans & fuelled by Mam’s Welshcakes, started work on their new Album, ‘Light up the Sky’, which
includes a guest appearance from none other than Bob’s old band mate, Adrian Smith (Iron Maiden)!
The end of October see’s ‘The Pride’ enter the legendary Stir Studios to work alongside producer,
Paul Durrant (who’s credits are enormous!) to give birth to ‘Light up the Sky’.
It’s gonna be a BIG baby!!

Andreas "RockBelt": *Band Score 8.0/10* "The first samples of their music is very good, Melodic sound with hard Rock Rhythm. Deserve your attention!"
